Rocco Forte House in Milan, our new opening set for next July, is an exquisite 19th century Milanese palazzo located on Via Manzoni, on the corner of Via della Spiga, in the heart of the city’s most fashionable neighbourhood, Quadrilatero della Moda. Sensitively restored to its original splendour, the building now houses a collection of 11 unique apartments.

The Position

HOUSE MANAGER

Main Purpose: As House Manager you will be one of our Ambassadors of Excellence: quality and Guest care will be your main focus. You will be responsible for the operations of our House Team, ensuring the highest service standards. You will support, coordinate and develop the department’s team members in order to exceed Guests’ expectations.
Reports to: Managing Director, Northern Italy.

Main duties & responsibilities:
  • Supervise all the House operations, according to the Company policies and procedures, maintaining high standards at all times: check-in, check-out, billing, apartment orientation, providing general info to Guests.
  • Responsible for providing each Guest a warm and efficient arrival and departure process.
  • Handle all Guests requests and be proactive in offering relevant services.
  • Manage advance payments, Guests’ billings and you will be responsible for the relevant accounting tasks.
  • Coordinate the housekeeping and maintenance service in line with Guests’ preferences and service standards.
  • Coordinate the delivery of services required from Guests.
  • Coordinate relations with relevant stakeholders.
  • Supervise décor, maintenance and cleanliness of the whole property.
  • Be responsible for H&S compliance for the duration of the shift.
  • Be updated about the events in town and willing to communicate them to the Guests.

Other requirements:
  • Professional experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Hotel Management software (e.g. Opera).
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Fluent in English and Italian. A third language is preferred.
  • Strong passion for hospitality and attention to details.
